I spent most of today walking around my house in my bare feet. This becomes more hazardous at night when the millipedes come out. Last night while cleaning I felt a tickle on my foot.... a millipede was crawling on it!

Journey for Color

Today's Challenge

Water sustains life. Color enhances life. Make a photo today combining color and water.

I decided that the color should be flowers, so I took a walk down my road to see what was still growing in the ditch.

The journey was pretty great, here are a few pictures from my walk.

I played around in the kitchen with glass containers and water to come up with the final image. It was hard to choose, but I think this is my favorite

For me, today was less about my final product and more about the journey. I took the time to look for beauty and it was there because God makes beautiful things.

Eyes of Faith #2

Challenge: Make a beautiful photograph of something commonly thought of as ugly/

Sometimes I feel like all of my choices have twisted me into something useless and ugly. I know it's prideful to think I have so much power, compared to what God is doing, but I am physically present, I can't see God.

Sometimes though I get a rare glimpse of a way that God has shaped me, and I see myself through his eyes. Maybe because of a person he's put in my life, or maybe something I read. This blog post is one of them.

A New Challenge

I have many talented friends who do amazing things with a camera. While admiring their work I realized that I miss photography. One of the bloggers I follow, Finally Human posted his first photo for a challenge that started um... yesterday.

I'm going to join! It's the Eyes of Faith Photo Challenge. No prizes, just fun, and an opportunity to stretch myself.

First Challenge

Make a monochromoe photograph today.

Either use a single color subject/background

or make it monochrome in post.

This one was quick. I didn't take too much time.

This picture represents God's provision for me in this stage of life. I'm in transition, but I have a place to sleep. And when I got here my Mom had a bed made for me, because she loves me.
